Anthony Albanese has officially nominated himself for the Nobel Peace Prize, declaring his government’s recognition of a two-state solution has created “unstoppable momentum” in the Middle East.
The PM says Hamas has personally thanked his government on “multiple occasions,” crediting him with achieving progress where others failed. Asked about Donald Trump’s earlier peace efforts, Albo brushed them off completely.
The Prime Minister also reminded reporters of his “other world-changing achievements,” including composing the iconic sax riff from Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street and beating Kim Jong-il’s fabled golf record of 11 hole-in-ones by scoring 12 on his first round.
Opposition figures say the only prize Albo deserves is “Best Storyteller,” but staffers have reportedly already begun preparing his Nobel acceptance speech
