CANBERRA — Labor’s campaign to stop One Nation reached full strength today after GetUp! interrupted Pauline Hanson’s first National Press Club address with what appeared to be an A2 glossy from Officeworks.
GetUp! claimed responsibility, which experts confirmed is political shorthand for “Labor with a different logo.”
Hanson had been speaking about homelessness, cost of living, immigration and Australians sleeping in cars when the banner appeared, bravely reminding the nation that the real danger was someone saying “Australia first” in public.
Several journalists were reportedly rushed to hospital after witnessing a politician answer questions directly.
Labor insiders called the stunt a success.
“One Nation may have raised millions for State of Origin TV ads,” one strategist said, “but we showed what real political firepower looks like: a laminated rectangle.”
