CANBERRA — Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called for proof that Elon Musk has actually become a trillionaire, after Elon celebrated by taking his diesel car for a spin uphill.
“Did he though?” Albanese asked. “Did he actually raise a trillion dollars? Or is this just another fake online total, like One Nation’s Fire The Liar campaign that definitely hasn’t raised over $3.2 million?”
Musk responded by saying he’d happily audit his businesses if they could then take a quick look through the Australian Government.
The Prime Minister has since clarified that proof is no longer necessary.
“Actually, don’t worry about it,” he said. “We believe Elon.”
